ScreenSocial Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

ScreenSocial ("we," "our," or "us") operates the ScreenSocial mobile app (also listed as "TVTracker"), which helps you track TV shows, movies, and podcasts, and share reviews and recommendations with friends. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

CategoryWhat we collect
Account information Name, email address, and profile photo โ€” provided by you, or by Google/Apple Sign-In if you use those to sign up.
Profile & preferences Username, bio, favorite genres, streaming services, content warning preferences, and similar settings you choose to provide.
User content Reviews, ratings, comments, discussion and forum posts, custom titles, friend recommendations, and any photos you attach to a review or use as your profile photo.
Activity & usage What you've watched or listened to and your progress through it (e.g. which episode you're on), your library and watchlist, and your in-app search history.
Device identifier A push notification token tied to your device, used only to deliver notifications you've enabled (like friend requests or comment replies).
Customer support Anything you submit through the in-app Feedback form, optionally along with basic app/device info (app version, platform) if you choose to include it.

We do not collect your phone number, physical address, precise location, financial or health information, or access your device's contacts.

How We Use Information

We use the information above solely to run and support the app itself:

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use any analytics or advertising SDKs in the app. We do not sell your data or share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for cross-app or cross-site tracking.

Third-Party Services We Use

ScreenSocial is built on a small number of service providers that process data strictly to make the app work:

Sharing With Other Users

ScreenSocial is a social app โ€” depending on your own visibility settings, your reviews, activity, and profile may be visible to your friends or to the public within the app. You control this through your privacy settings, including a private folder that's never shown to anyone else.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile > Settings > Delete Account within the app โ€” this removes your account, login credentials, library, and all your private data. This action cannot be undone.

Content you shared with others โ€” reviews, comments, discussion posts โ€” stays visible so it doesn't break threads or lists other people are still viewing, but your name and photo are replaced with "Anonymous" and no longer linked to your account. The same applies to shared folders and group Voyages you were part of: they stay intact for the remaining members, with only your name removed.

Children's Privacy

ScreenSocial requires users to be at least 13 years old. We ask for this confirmation when you first create an account, and if you indicate you're under 13, your account is not created and no data is retained. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Choices

Security

We use Firebase's security infrastructure and access-controlled database rules to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
